Lori from Alberta (Canada) has had bad news resulting from her surgery: the cancer has spread to the liver. The proposed (partial) removal of her pancreas was not performed, but the tumour in the liver has been removed. Chemotherapy will now be administered to improve quality of life. In other words: a cure is no longer possible.
Lori has altered the set-up on her blog so that comments can not be left, and her daughter Dana has made a posting on her behalf, although I don't know whether Lori knew about it. No mention of this has been made on Lori's Facebook page.

I am devastated to read this news. Lori had been keeping up with me on AOL and asking for prayers. I will continue to pray for Lori and her family. Thank you for letting us know.

Thanks for letting us know, Guido. I was able to leave a comment on her blog, so I guess the settings were changed. I hate to hear this and hope that the chemo can work to her benefit.
Update: I would still love notes from my Journal Friends. At the first part of all this I understood my daughter's desire to keep things calm, but hearing fun comments from the lives of my Journal buddies cheer me up.
To correct NOTHING was removed from the pancreas or liver. The surgery Dr. D wanted to do was NOT possible so he did something in the liver to help give me a "quality of life" before I pass on.
He told my family I may have until Christmas...BUT you know what I still believe that GOD is in the MIRACLE business and that is what I am praying...His word back to Him (GOd) and for you out there who believe in the power of prayers I covet your time to intercede on my behalf.
