I just spent half an hour deleting a dozen spam comments in Chinese or Japanese on all my blogs. As a result, I'll moderating all comments on this blog prior to publication, in order to ward off this nuisance. This Blogger user goes by the Latin script username of
disa. Having searched Google for an answer to this problem, I've found that they have no solution in place for it.

I had the same person or name leave that many on my blog last night also. I may go to the word verification thingy like you have here to stop that. That makes two times it has happened but several months apart. Helentrantola
i got the asian spam also. what a shame.
krissy knox
I wish that Blogger would find a way to stop this once and for all, it is the third time it has happened to me.
Someone has way too much time on their hands. I haven't got that yet (knock on wood) but I am still getting spam comments on older Blog entries, which are mostly for online drug sales or of a sexual nature. Fortunately those I can reject. If I get the others, I'll go the same way you have. Linda in WA
I got some too over the weekend.
I think that I stopped Asian characters in my language settings on my browsers, as I don't use them anyways, but I don't have my blog advertised on Google, either. I find that anything on Google, is ripe for spam. ::SIGH::
i had to start moderating my comments too....i just cant figure out how to delete the spam comments
